Vodney Cleveland, a 4-star defensive lineman from Birmingham’s Parker High School, has made a shocking commitment to Alabama over Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC.¹ This is a massive win for Kalen DeBoer’s staff, considering Cleveland’s impressive stats: 38 total tackles, 28 solo tackles, six TFLs, and five sacks this season.
Cleveland, ranked sixth in the state of Alabama and 80th overall in his class, had this to say about Alabama: “They develop guys who go pro and they develop guys off the field as men”. He also praised the team’s camaraderie, saying, “I like the love the players show each other and Coach (Freddie) Roach always keep us laughing”.
This commitment is a significant boost to Alabama’s recruiting class, which already boasts top prospects like Kevonte Henry and Marshall Pritchett. With Cleveland on board, the Tide’s defense is looking stronger than ever.
