Stéphane Richer is indeed a legendary figure in the NHL, with an impressive career spanning over two decades. He won two Stanley Cup championships, one with the Montreal Canadiens in 1986 and another with the New Jersey Devils in 1995.¹

 

Richer’s achievements with the Canadiens are particularly notable. He is the only player besides Guy Lafleur to have scored more than one 50-goal season while wearing a Habs uniform. In fact, Richer scored 50 goals in the 1987-88 season and 51 goals in the 1989-90 season.

 

Throughout his career, Richer played for several teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay Lightning, St. Louis Blues, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He accumulated an impressive 421 goals and 819 points in 1,054 NHL games.
