KALEN DEBOER SAYS, THE CRIMSON TIDE WILL GET THERE
Following a 9-4 record in his inaugural season at Alabama, Coach Kalen DeBoer expressed his confidence in achieving improved results in Tuscaloosa in the future.
Kalen DeBoer told the Crimson Tide Sports Network during his postgame radio interview:
“We’ll get there. I have no doubt in my mind. I’ve been through this a lot. The what-ifs, as we talked about in the locker room here just a little bit ago, the what-ifs are not where we’re gonna live down the road.
Guys are saying all the right things and I’m gonna make sure we hold all of ourselves accountable to that in the offseason, that we don’t forget it.”
DeBoer continued:
“We understand we’re far from perfect right now.
But I know that there’s the makings, because you have the right people and the right character, the right integrity and the right type of fighters that we’ll be better. We’ll learn from all of this.”
DeBoer also added:
“I think it’s always about people.
We have good people from staff to players that are a bunch of fighters, guys that are resilient.
People that are resilient.
When you don’t have anyone tearing you down from inside, and you have people sticking together, it’s the start of giving you a chance.
We got to continue to upgrade in every way.
That’s the type of people we have because they want to be great, and they’re gonna be great. Because they’re smart, and they’re athletic, they’re playmakers.
DeBoer’s final word:
“Again, it didn’t end the way we want, but I think there’s a lot of stuff we’ll take from this.
Things that we’ll remember that we’ll have to get better from. Things that we’ll remember that will motivate us.
Things that you hate to call them lessons, but they’re lessons. We got to be better because of it.
But those guys that played their last game today, seniors or guys that are moving on to the NFL they never quit. They kept battling.
For the guys that return, you want them to remember that feeling and to use to motivate themselves to be even better, to be even sharper when those big moments come.
Learn from it and make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
I am looking for the Crimson Tide thrive, in 2025. Happy New Year everybody!
