I’ve got some bad news for Philadelphia Phillies fans. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any breaking news about a key pitcher being out with a major injury. However, I did find some information about past injuries to Phillies pitchers.
For example, Dylan Covey was shut down with a shoulder issue in March 2024 and was set to open the season on the injured list.¹ Additionally, Michael Rucker was out with an issue with his middle finger in March 2024. Ranger Suarez was also on the 15-day IL with lower back soreness in July 2024.²
It’s worth noting that the Phillies have made some recent moves to bolster their pitching staff, including acquiring right-hander Aaron Combs from the White Sox in January 2025.³ They’ve also been linked to free agent lefty reliever Tyler Matzek, who recently threw a bullpen session in front of scouts from several teams, including the Phillies.⁴
I’ll keep an eye out for any further updates on Phillies injuries, but for now, it seems like the team is focused on building their pitching staff for the upcoming season.
