There’s no 6-foot-6 monster available for claim by the Montreal Canadiens. However, there was a recent opportunity for the Canadiens to claim a rugged 6-foot-4 forward, Zack MacEwen, who was placed on waivers by the Ottawa Senators.
¹ MacEwen has accumulated 34 points in 235 career NHL games, along with over 300 penalty minutes. He’s known for being a tough player to face, and several teams might be interested in claiming him.
It’s worth noting that the Canadiens’ general manager, Kent Hughes, has been looking to add some toughness to the team’s lineup. However, there’s no indication that they’re interested in claiming a specific 6-foot-6 player.²
