Jannik Sinner’s head coach, Darren Cahill, has announced that this will be his last season coaching the Italian tennis star. Cahill made the decision to spend more time with his family.¹

This news comes as Sinner prepares to face Ben Shelton in the Australian Open semifinals. Sinner has been on a roll, winning his last 12 matches at the Australian Open and 19 consecutive matches across all tournaments.²

Cahill has been instrumental in Sinner’s success, helping him reach the top of the world rankings and win two Grand Slam titles. Sinner has praised Cahill, saying he’s become more than just a coach, but also a close friend.

Simone Vagnozzi, Sinner’s other coach, has expressed sadness over Cahill’s decision, but understands his reasoning. Vagnozzi has hinted that he may not continue coaching Sinner alone, citing the demands of traveling 50 weeks a year.

Cahill’s departure will undoubtedly be felt, but for now, Sinner remains focused on his Australian Open campaign.
